The City of Miramar’s Ansin Sports Complex is the venue for one of the most anticipated events in the world of track & field: the NACAC Under 23 Track and Field Championships. It is the crucible in which Olympic and World champions are made.
Three days of competition will winnow out future Olympians and World Champions from elite squads of close to 500 athletes from 32 countries. They’re looking to perhaps obtain coveted slots on their countries’ Olympic and World Championship teams.
The athletes will represent countries that are member nations of the North America, Central America and Caribbean Athletic Association (NACAC). Refer to the list of participating countries.
This is the first time the event, governed by the International Amateur Athletics Federation (IAAF) and USA Track and Field (USATF), will be held in the United States. The Ansin Sports Complex was selected because of its accessibility and the fact that it is a state-of-the-art athletic facility that can accommodate large amounts of spectators.
